Parable Ten Virgins

The Ten Virgins in the Olivet Discourse by Hampton Keathley IV
"What is the meaning of the Parable of the Ten Virgins?"
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. 1 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise.
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 3 he foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.
But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. 9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. 10  “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. 11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. 12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. 13  “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
